It has been a mixture of snow showers and sunny skies in France this past week. Many areas have had some snow but the snow showers have been sporadic rather than universal and most have only added up to 5-10cm of fresh snow. Nonetheless that has freshened up cover where it has fallen.

The Chamonix Valley and Argentiere have posted the most total 7 day snow in France with 30cm/a foot, with resorts in the French Pyrenees again scoring highly, and Cauterets down in the southern mountain range continues to report the country’s deepest snow at 2.7m (nine feet).
Elsewhere conditions are generally good and for most areas there’s now enough snow to see out the remaining two months of the season. Most resorts have 50-100cm down at the base of the slopes, 1m-2m up top.

Some, including Val Thorens with 2.1m/7 feet and Montgenevre 2.6m (nearly nine feet) have more.
