The start of April means the end of the ski season at Les Arcs is only a few weeks away.
But this year it looks certain that the ski areas will close with the snow lying metres deep, as it is now.

Instead of a spring thaw, so far it has just kept snowing and the base has got thicker still.
The exciting news is that there’s so much snow lying up top (over 4 metres deep), Les Arcs will now re-open for summer skiing and boarding in July and the first half of August for the first time this century.
