Les Arcs is gearing up for a high‑energy March, with the resort dedicating the entire month to sport in all its forms. Four headline events will unfold in quick succession, each showcasing a different facet of mountain endurance, camaraderie and competition.
The action begins on 7 March with La Belle Aventure, a night‑time ski touring experience that blends effort with indulgence. Participants climb towards the summits in a relaxed, non‑competitive atmosphere, pausing for a gourmet break before descending to Arc 1800 by headlamp. It’s designed as a moment of pure escape, where the serenity of the mountains meets the pleasure of moving through them at night.
From 12–14 March the spotlight shifts to young alpine talent as Arc 1800’s Tetras area hosts L’Étoile d’Or. Over three days, skiers aged 9 to 14 compete in giant slalom and parallel slalom events, turning the sector into a lively showcase for the next generation. The event balances friendly spirit with genuine competitive ambition, giving rising stars a platform to shine.
Trail runners take over on 20 March with the Les Arcs Star Trail, a distinctive night race set deep within the ski area. The 11km course includes 500m of positive elevation gain, offering a demanding but spectacular challenge. Combining snow, darkness and sweeping alpine views, it’s a race that celebrates both physical grit and the beauty of the high‑altitude environment.
The month concludes on 29 March with La Course du Cœur, a 750km relay linking Paris to Bourg Saint Maurice over four days and nights. More than a sporting feat, the event raises awareness of organ donation and culminates in a warm welcome from residents, holidaymakers and local teams—a collective show of solidarity that underscores the race’s purpose.
