This Head Kore 99 2019 Ski Review comes from ISPO 2018, where we were very excited to see the newest addition to the hugely popular Head Kore range.

The Head Kore range has caused quite a stir over the 2017/18 season – everyone loves this ski, with demand so high, that Head have released a new model, the Head Kore 99. It fits nicely into the current range, which so far consists of 93, 105 and 117 underfoot and Head have also added a junior model to allow younger skiers to experience this ski, at 87 underfoot.

The Kore range of skis are all topped with a polyester fleece instead of a standard top-sheet, which means they are incredibly light. The triaxle weave of the carbon layer provides additional torsional rigidity for supreme responsiveness and solid edge hold, while the Graphene fused tip and tail allows for a reduction and redistribution of weight throughout the ski. The thinner profile enhances flotation in soft snow and maximizes manoeuvrability, so for the Kore 99, powder days are sure to be hugely enjoyable.

A fusion of a freeride and all mountain ski, the Kore 99 2019 looks like it’s going to be great both on and off piste – we can’t wait to try it for ourselves!
