Avoriaz is still basking in the glow of being the first French resort to reach a 5m base depth for many years – a target it hit last week after several feet of snowfall.
Its last snowfall was in the middle of last week when it added another 10cm but the weather since has been mostly sunny and peaked at plus temps of around 6C, so more fresh snow currently looks unlikely.

Currently there’s two more weeks of the season left at Avoriaz, through to 22nd April, and it’s looking like great spring skiing with the historic deep snow depth.
