The Dolomites are enjoying the best start to the ski season for at least four winters and there’s no real sign of the snowfall slowing up.
Val Gardena’s slopes are in great shape for New year with 112 trails open of the 112 there are and all 79 lifts operational. There’s even been 10cm of fresh snow in the past 24 hours to give a nice fresh covering.

Snow depth range is currently from 30cm in the valley to 100cm at the top of the runs, the best is been in January since 2014.
Another 15cm (six inches) of snow is forecast to fall by the weekend with temperatures well below zero.
