The Diavolezza cable car above St Moritz re-opened on 11 February, after an unusual closure during the first few months of the ski season.
Extensive modernisation work has taken place on the lift, at a cost of CHF4.5m over the past 3 months, to add more comfort for passengers and cutting-edge technology.

“We intend to establish ourselves as one of the best ski regions in the world, and have therefore opted for the best technology currently available on the market” said Dieter Bogner, Head of Marketing at Bergbahnen Engadin St Moritz.

The new cabin of the Diavolezza cable car stands out as a result of its futuristic appearance, with windows that extend right down to the cabin floor, which enable passengers to better enjoy the magnificent panoramic views. In addition a revolutionary new loading concept, with three electric sliding doors, makes it easier and more efficient for the maximum 107 passengers to board and alight from the cabins.
