Snow conditions are good across Italy although there’s a difference from West to East.
On the West, in the Alps, Italian resorts have seen some of the biggest snowfalls of anywhere in the past week with some areas receiving two metres of snow in less than 5 days.
This caused logistical problems and ski area closures with conditions too dangerous for the slopes to open for a while. Now however, most are open with great snow conditions.

The Dolomites (pictured top) have not seen the huge snowfalls of ski areas in the West but they have had plenty of fresh snow before recent sunny days providing absolutely sublime conditions on the slopes.
The week ahead should see more moderate snowfalls across the country.
