Things are turning increasingly snowy in North America with ever more regular and ever bigger snow dumps reported across the Western side of the continent.
There has been a big difference between snow totals north of the border and in US ski states with resorts in Alberta and BC posting fairly good snow depths and fully open all season but scant cover, up to now, at most areas in the US.

Revelstoke in BC says it has had 80cm of new snow in the past week taking its snowfall total past the 6m (20 feet) mark this season, whilst some US areas have had a little more than a metre. But now ski areas in California, Colorado and Utah are opening more terrain and are ‘optimistic’ for the upcoming Martin Luther King holiday weekend.
The East of the continent continues to have a mostly good season with temps staying low, but not so low, some fresh snow and nearly everything open.
