Nevis Range Ski Patrollers Emma Holgate and Adam Mackintosh are delighted to be working on snow again!

Snow has continued to fall throughout the day (7/2/17) at Nevis Range and is continuing to improve conditions.  There’s some more snow in the forecast as well as low temperatures which will help with snow consolidation.

“We’re delighted that the snow at the weekend and heavy snowfall last night has meant we’ve managed to open the upper runs on the mountain today.  The Alpha button is running for access the Goose T-bar and accessing Side Winder, Cat Track and Easy Rider runs.  We plan to open up more tows and runs tomorrow, including the Quad chair accessing the quad runs.  Our annual Schools Programme was running with 3 local schools turning up for day 1 of their 4-day Programme, and Snowsports School is taking bookings for group and private lessons,” they said, adding,

“It’s been a later than usual start to the Snowsports Season at Nevis Range.  However in previous years we’ve still been open for Snowsports in April and had lovely skiing conditions into May.  We’re frequently forced to close through lack of interest from our customers rather than lack of snow.  So at this stage in the season there’s plenty of time for many months of skiing and for our customers to have a great time skiing and snowboarding.”
