SETAM, Val Thorens’ ski lift company, has invested 14 million euros this summer to upgrade their Moraine chair lift to a gondola for the coming season.
The ski area served by the new lift is popular among skiers and boarders of all abilities, with beginners especially well catered for here, and the heated 10-seater cabins will provide easier, safer transportation.
Val Thorens will also open a fourth new blue run in the Plein Sud sector, which descend to the top of the resort via a ‘balcony route’ overlooking Val Thorens village.
Expected to be highly frequented, especially at the end of the day by skiers returning from the 3 Vallées, the slope will make it easy for skiers to get back to the top of the resort.
Val Thorens will open for the 2017-18 ski season on 18 November 2017.
