A British couple, Alison Dickie and Duncan Newbury, have launched a new holiday company, Chez Serre Chevalier (www.chezserrechevalier.co.uk) offering snow sports holidays to the large ski area in the southern French Alps.
“Chez Serre Chevalier will offer holiday makers an alternative to the ’standard‘ ski holiday by offering customers the opportunity to build their own tailor-made holiday while keeping within an affordable budget” says Newbury.
Chez Serre Chevalier holidays include accommodation with full self-catering facilities, and transfers from any one of the four airports within 2½h of the Serre Chevalier valley. Customers will then be able to mix-and-match food options including full service catering, hot food deliveries, breakfast deliveries and shopping services. Other options include equipment hire, lessons, lift passes, away days, activity planning, and baby concierge services.
“We will be based in Serre Chevalier along with our staff ensuring that our guests receive a consistently excellent level of service” said Dickie. “We thereby aim to take guests out of the ’resort lottery‘ which can see customers of some large tour operators receiving very varied levels of service depending on the luck of the draw in terms of resort staff.”
