London’s Ski & Snowboard Show Reboots

27 Oct 16

The London Ski & Snowboard Show is back with a renewed sense of vitality at the Battersea Evolution centre in Battersea Park, South London.

With the closure of shows in Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow in recent years, London’s is the UK’s only remaining ski and snowboard show and it has come out fighting for 2016 with a compact but action-packed feel and a busy atmosphere on day one.  The atmosphere is buzzing and in fact with three days to go it’s looking like the best ski show for years.

This year’s show, which runs until this Sunday 30th October, is back in the English half term holiday and has a strong family fun feel, but there’ s also lots of attractions for skiers and boarders of all ages.  It feels much busier than previous years and InTheSnow has a stand!

The show features apres themed food from the alpine street food stands, spectacular stunts from pro-riders on Mount Battersea’s 50 ft real snow kicker (pictured above earlier today), ice skating on the Crystal Ice Rink, live comedy from the Altitude Comedy Festival and hundreds of exhibitors and resorts from around the world.

Among the attractions, around a dozen members of the British Ski and Snowboard team will be at the show and you can meet them at the team’s stand.  There are also pro rider demonstrations on Mount Battersea, the real snow hill at the venue which 50-ft real-snow kicker constructed specially for the Show in the centre of Battersea Park.

On Friday Pro-Rider Demos take place at 11:30am then 1, 4 and 9.30pm.  On Saturday they’re at 10.45am then 2.15, 4 and 7.30pm and finally on Sunday ar 11am then 12.30, 2 and 3.30pm.

The show is open from 10am-10pm tomorrow and from 10am at the weekend, to 8pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday.
