It’s the final weekend of the season in Les Arcs.
It has been one of the snowiest winters on record and the snow is still lying 3.6m (12 feet) deep and over 2m (7 feet) deep at the bottom of the slopes – so they could easily re-open for summer skiing on their glacier if they wished. But that was sadly just an April Fool story they announced at the start of the month!
About 30 runs are open for the final few days and – ironically – it’s due to snow on Monday, the day after the season ends!
