Dating app Thursday is breaking new ground by bringing singles together, not only virtually but also in the real world and even better on the ski slopes!
Thursday is the pioneer in focusing on IRL (In Real Life) experiences, setting them apart from other dating platforms, and has a successful track record of organizing over 2000 singles events in London and NYC last year.
Last year, Thursday, made waves by hosting a singles-only ski week in Val Thorens. The event was a colossal success so in a bold move this season, the app posted a challenge on their Instagram account (@thursdaydating) stating:
“If this post gets 1000 likes, we’ll organize a singles only ski trip.”
The response was overwhelming, with the post quickly amassing a staggering 11,000 likes.
Now the trip is back for its second year, and already 96% sold out.
Thursday has partnered with Pear (the new ring that people wear to identify they are single) for this year’s trip, back to Val Thorens, under the name LuvSki …the world’s largest ski trip catering to those who may not be avid fans of traditional dating apps and want to do something different.
Scheduled to take place in Val Thorens from March 23rd to 30th, LuvSki is drawing bookings from all corners of the globe, including the UK, Europe, the US, Australia and New Zealand.
The itinerary is designed to create an atmosphere where connections are forged through shared adventures rather than swipes and messages with planned LuvSki events including igloo raves, apres takeovers, mountain-side brunches, glacier yoga, chair lift speed dating, and, of course, LuvSki dates.
LuvSki is being organised by Powered by NUCO, an arm of Manchester-based NUCO Travel Ltd who have been specialising in operating large scale events in the snow since 2012. The team at NUCO operate multiple snow and adventure brands and take over 25,000 people travelling each year across all generations.
