Italian slopes have been largely sunny since the weekend.

The last reported snow was at Cervinia on Friday, another 20cm taking its total depth up to 395cm, the deepest in the country.

It’s hard to think a week ago that it had to close its slopes due to the heavy snow and avalanche danger.

January in Italy should end with much less snow than it started, t should be sunny in fact with the next wave of snowfall expected as February begins, but so far that’s looking like just a small amount to freshen up cover.

Generally though, conditions are good pretty well across the country.
