Inghams Offering New Lapland 5 Star Hotel Next Winter

Inghams will be one of the first British tour operators to offer ski holidays based in a brand new five-star hotel currently under construction in Finland’s largest resort, Levi.

The new Design Hotel Levi is set to open on November 1st this year and is part of the same large complex as the existing four-star Levi Hotel Spa, and guests at the Design Hotel will have access to some of the existing hotel’s facilities, including its huge complex of themed swimming pools, whilst also having their Design-Hotel-only space and amenities.

Inghams has more than 20 years of experience working in Lapland and it is one of their most popular destinations.  They have a separate Lapland-only holidays division for non-ski trips there.

The boutique hotel will feature 77 deluxe rooms, which will combine traditional Lappish style with a chic design: materials sourced from Finland will include grey pinewood, natural stone, and black and copper finishes.

The rooms will span across four floors and Inghams guests will have the choice of a Deluxe Double/Twin room (with king size bed), Deluxe Loft room (with a mezzanine, for sleeping a family of four) or Deluxe Suites (which will feature balconies for admiring the Northern lights and private saunas).  Single occupancy rooms are available for a supplement.

Stays at the Design Hotel Levi are already available to book on the company’s website from £1,599 per person based on two sharing in December 2019. The price includes return flights from London Gatwick, Manchester or Bristol to Kittilä and airport transfers.

In a separate development, Inghams have also launched a ‘Big Three’ excursion bundle to Lapland, including a shared snowmobile safari, a husky safari and a reindeer safari and farm visit for £112 per adult, and for children aged 13 and over, a saving of £85 per person. For children aged four – 12 years, the price is £85, down from £113.

The offer is only valid on 7 night ski holidays in the resorts of Levi, Ylläs and Saariselkä in Lapland taken in January or February 2020, must be booked online and are subject to availability.

“All excursions are more than just a ‘taster’ and last between two and three-and-a-half hours (depending on resort and conditions),” a company spokesperson said.
