An ice cream themed ski lodge in New Zealand will unveil an ‘all-you-can-eat ice cream themed room next week.
The QT Queenstown Hotel, described as a ski lodge for access to the famous ski town’s four areas of Cardrona, Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Treble Cone has teamed up with ice cream brand Halo Top to create the room.
The room, available to book from next Monday, July 22nd, features various ice-cream themed decor features, most prominent a pink neon sign flashing the words, “I’m cold, let’s spoon.”
The unlimited ice cream is supplied via a pink mini freezer at the foot of the bed which is filled with mini tubs of Halo’s 46 flavours. In addition a further ice-cream themed in-room menu gives the option to order things like ice cream nachos, milkshakes and sundaes.
Halo Top are famous for making ice cream that’s lower calories than normal and have a vegan variety.
There is also reported to be “stylish branded ski apparel” provided.
After a slow start for some areas due to limited natural snowfall New Zealand’s 2019 ski season is now in full swing with Treble Cone one of the last to open, last week, after heavy snowfall there. The other Queenstown areas have been open about a month.
The ice-cream-themed-ski-lodge-room will be open for a limited period and room rates have not been published.
