Who doesn’t love a good ski goggle?! Not only can they make your time on the slopes more enjoyable by giving you enhanced optical clarity, but they can also be a super stylish addition to your ski gear. We went out to ISPO Munich this winter to take a look at all the goggle ranges for next winter and select our pick of the best new ski goggles for 2020/21.
Dragon RVX OTG Goggle
The RVX is a brand new goggle from Dragon for the 2020/21 winter . Dragon are a hugely popular and widely respected brand when it comes to stylish, high performance ski goggles, with their Lumalens technology giving incredible clarity on the slopes. The new RVX OTG family of goggles retains this high performance in a brand new shape for Dragon, with a wide, injection moulded OTG-compatible cylindrical lens. The RVX OTG also boasts Dragon’s new one-sided Swiftlock 2.0 quick lens change system, which is impressively simple, and comes with two lenses.
Giro Contour Goggle
A new goggle from Giro for the 2020/21 season, the Contour is a very stylish model with incredible optical clarity thanks to Giro’s popular Vivid lenses. The Contour Goggle has an EXV+ lens, which claims to give the wearer 15% more peripheral vision than a regular goggle, wrapping more around the face. The Contour goggle also offers OTG protection, a unisex fit and an easy lens-change system.
Sweet Protection Goggles
Norwegian brand Sweet Protection have this winter released a new range of goggles, using their own proprietary lens-technology RIG™ , to ensure incredible enhanced contrast in low light conditions. The lenses are much thicker than in other goggles, almost twice as thick as standard, to protect your eyes should you crash, as well as to strengthen the goggle against damage. With a variety of goggle styles and lenses, we’d definitely suggest considering Sweet Protection when it comes to buying your next ski goggle.
SPY Marauder Goggle
Popular US eyewear brand SPY have re-entered the UK market with a bang for winter 2020/21, with a high quality, fun and funky range of ski goggles, sunglasses and helmets. Our favourite? The Marauder goggle, with strap artwork from Californian artist Damasso Sanchez and featuring a patented magnetic quick-change lens system – the Deadbolt system.
