Our Kang Ski Poles Review comes from ISPO 2018, where we spotted these unique and eye-catching poles in the ISPO’s Brand New section.

In addition to their main pole line, which are fully customisable and outlined below, Kang have introduced a new range of bamboo poles for 2018/19, which look really fresh and are definitely going to be a popular pole on the slopes.

The customisable, non-bamboo poles are made according to your specifications and assembled by hand in Sweden. The poles are made primarily from environmentally friendly materials such as flax, leather and bioplastic – for the simple reason that Kang want to keep that deep powder for future generations to enjoy!

The head is ergonomically designed to provide maximum support and comfort. It is made from bioplastic, which contains about 60% recycled material.  The grip is 100% leather, creating a natural feel. This grip can easily be replaced with a new one whenever you want. The strap is made of polyester to provide optimum performance and responsiveness, joining the head on the sides to provide better freedom of movement. Meanwhile, the wrist support is made of heavy leather that provides a comfortable feeling for the back of the hand. It can easily be opened to adjust the strap.

The tube is made of 70% flax and 30% carbon fibre which makes it environmentally smart, flexible and durable. The tubes are painted in powder coating to minimize the environmental impact and maximize scratch resistance. The 95mm basket is made of bioplastic and designed to work well in deep snow while being responsive on harder surfaces. The durable aluminium tip is specifically designed to give the best possible swing rate.
