Our Head Solstace and Cascade Jacket Reviews come from ISPO 2018, where we were keen to take a look at Head’s new women’s apparel for the 2018/19 season.

Head’s apparel ranges are not quite as well known as their ski hardware, but they maintain the same high standards of quality and style that have become synonymous with the Head brand. The women’s line has been completely redesigned for 2018/19 and it’s a redesign that we think looks great.

These are really really comfortable jackets (I should know, I was wearing one!) They are super soft on the inside and very lightweight, with great freedom of movement which is so important when out on the slopes. All the jackets in the range come with a 20 / 20 breathability and waterproofing and are also surprisingly warm, considering their light weight.

The Cascade retails for €300, while the Solstace is at the higher end of the spectrum at €500. However, for the extra money, you get a whole lot of additional features, including a removable hood and a double zip that give you two options of sizing for the jacket (perfect for colder days that require more layers).
