There’s been heavy snow reported this morning in parts of the western Alps (particularly France and Italy), the Pyrenees and the Western side of the Dolomites. We’re even receiving reports of snow in Scandinavia.
The Haute Pyrenees region of France (pictured this morning above) already had a great base from November snow fall but areas there have reported up to 45cm of fresh snow.
In the northern Alps Avoriaz in France reported 20cm of new snow overnight, as did Gstaad in Switzerland. Les Orres in the Southern French alps reports 25cm – in fact most resorts have had at least SOME new snow.
In Italy there have been big falls for Madesimo (25cm) and in the Monterosa region where Alagna claimed 45cm of new snow.
The snow is still falling at most areas and Scandinavia and Scotland are also reporting good snowfalls now.
