[EVENT] Enjoy The Glacier 2015

Enjoy The Glacier is the event that kicks off the winter season in France! Every year, during the half-term holiday, riders , brands and pro’s gather together to open the season in Les Deux Alpes.

This year there was a bluebird sky and fresh snow to add to the great atmosphere, so all the ingredients were right for an excellent opening. There were special deals on ski tickets too, day pass at €23.50.

The first test was the lift queue! It took almost an hour and a half to get in the gondola which took you up 3600m, a real indication of how much people were looking forward to getting back on snow. The bravest started to queue at around seven in the morning. But fresh snow is worth it!

All the brands had brought a nice fleet of boards, bindings, googles and jackets, all of which can be tested for free.

Les Deux Alpes kicks off each winter  with the best French riders attending the openings:
Arthur Longo, Victor Daviet, Victor De le Rue were joined by Sparrow Knox, Jesse Augustinus and Joe Tyler Simpson amongst others. All these shred heads were attacking the rail garden really hard.

The first day ended with the premiere of “Comfort Zone” – Almo Film (Fr)

The glacier is still open for another weekend, then it will re-open for the winter on the 5th December
