Leading multi-sports brand Dare 2b have today released their AW20 ski range, a highly exciting collaboration with Formula One Champion Jenson Button.
Sometimes in the winter sportswear industry, a collaboration comes around that we get genuinely excited about. Whether it’s one of skiing’s most famous faces bringing out their own collection or a top designer redefining slope-side style, we always love to see brands breaking new ground. The latest collection from Dare2b does just that, bringing to the market a highly versatile, winter sports and lifestyle clothing range in collaboration with Jenson Button, 2009 Formula One World Champion.
The ski range will feature technical outerwear, ski jackets, essential base layers and winter accessories in a range of striking colours, while the lifestyle collection focuses on the day-to-day essentials those with an active lifestyle will certainly appreciate.
This collection is designed for the ultimate outdoor adventurer, which is why Dare 2b believe Jenson Button is the perfect co-collaborator, bringing his thrill-seeking, adrenaline-chasing spirit to the collection. A keen skier himself, Button took the collection out for a spin on a road trip to Val d’Isère in January 2020.
Jenson’s personal favourite? The highly technical Surge Out ski jacket. With AEP Kinematics and Vect Heat technology (to thermoregulate your body with a warming effect of up to 3 degrees Celsius) it’s appears to be equally as comfy as it is stylish. Topped off with 20k waterproofing and breathability, 4-way stretch fabric and a Durable Water Repellent Finish, we’re sure this one is going to be a firm favourite on the slopes this winter.
This collaboration is the second partnership between Dare 2b and Jenson Button. Last year, Dare 2b sponsored Jenson’s team at the Baja 1000, the world’s biggest off-road motorsport event. That adventure began a unique partnership between the two, which has since developed into this collection.
We recently caught up with Jenson ahead of the launch (see full interview here) and he explained how his experience in Baja influenced the versatility of this new collection.
“During the race, you go through such different temperature changes, from 30 degrees by the coast, to zero degrees in the mountains. So we decided to work together with Dare 2b on that adventure and it was great fun and a great way to start working with a brand. It was the biggest adventure I’ve ever had in my life – and I’ve had quite a few!”
