4x British Ladies Champion Cara Brown is an alpine skier who competes in three disciplines; slalom, giant slalom and super giant slalom (Super G).

Born in the UK, Cara Brown moved to Milan, Italy, at the age of 7, a base which was ideal for her to explore her growing love for skiing. Realising her passion for alpine racing. She began spending a lot of her free time at the British Ski Academy in Les Houches and began competing.

At the age of 15, Cara began training with the The Scottish Alpine Ski Team and has been a member of the Scottish Team for 7 years now. She competes as part as the Delancey British Alpine Europa Cup Squad.

Cara Brown now trains with the French race team Orsatus, based in Meribel and run by Alex Fourrat.

In 2017 Cara won the Ladies Overall British Champion title for the fourth year in a row – despite having torn her ACL just 8 months earlier.

A full-time athlete, Brown supplements her activities with work as a freelance journalist, blogger and translator. She spoke to us about how skiing empowers her life here.
