Australia is seeing some spectacular snowfalls, transforming rather lacklustre conditions to powder heaven.
The country has had a challenging start to winter 2020 due first to the pandemic, then to limited snow cover.
Last week two of the country’s main ski areas, Falls Creek and Mt Hotham, were shut down again just days after their month-delayed season start. That’s due to a surge of the virus in the state of Victoria where they’re located.
Other areas are still open and Perisher and Thredbo (pictured top today) are amongst those reporting three feet (90cm) of snowfall over the past few days, with the snow still falling.
The ‘DEFENDER’ delivered 🙌❄️👊 85cm + Supertrail is now open 💪 Best news is we’re set to open Antons T-bar tomorrow and anticipating Basin to open Thursday ⛷🏂
