If you’re looking for a ski destination where it still feels like winter when temperatures are rising all over the skiing world – well in the northern hemisphere at least – look no further than Banff and Lake Louise.
The three ski areas in the region have been posting fresh powder snow reports on several mornings over the past week – getting new snow when most other resorts are just seeing sunshine and in some cases, rain.
It’s is his first rollercoaster ride. He’s obviously a natural. (?: mstastook)

Base depths are above 2m at Sunshine and Lake Louise and both areas have all runs open and all lifts operating.
The season at both areas also lasts in to May, so the rest of April is definitely looking good here.
