It has been snowing again at Banff and Lake Louise and when the lifts open later today it looks like its going to be another powder day. The image above was taken late last night.
At Lake Louise 49 trails are open already and they’ve had 44cm (18 inches) of snow in the past 72 hours, with more snow in the forecast for Sunday/Monday.
The world Cup tour also rolls in to town next week ahead of the downhill races over the next few weeks there.

It’s a similar story at Sunshine, where there’s been 29cm (a foot) of fresh snow and 55 runs are open but at Norquay there are only a handful of trails open and there’s only been 8cm/3 inches of snow – depths up top are at 50cm mark.
