It has been a snowy week in Avoriaz as the only car-free resort in the French Alps enters the final few weeks of what has been an exceptionally snowy season.
Another 60cm of fresh snow in the past week has taken its base depth past the 5m mark on its upper slopes to 5.m – a depth not seen in the French Alps for many years.
