The giant 3 Valleys ski region in France which includes leading resorts such as Courchevel, Meribel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens, has announced a new lift pass price initiative for the coming season as the cost of a six day lift pass for adults and children aged over 12 reaches 277 Euros.
When two people buy a ticket together they will be offered a discount on the individual lift ticket price. For a six day 2013-14 pass this means the standard rate will be 10 Euros less at 267 rather than 277 Euros for adults and children aged 13 and over.
The discount was first offered when three people bought passes together last season and that deal, with a greater saving, is available again for 13-14, with prices reduced further to 262 Euros per person. A family price, when two parents and two to seven children aged 5 to 18 buy a pass together is further reduced to 221.6 Euros each.
To qualify skiers must buy a pass valid for the same duration and the same region – either one of the three valleys or the full pass.
It costs 50 Euros less on 6 day tickets for over 12 year olds to ski just within the Meribel Valley, with the same 2 and 3 people and families buying together discounts offered, and there are also discounts at the start (07-20 December 2013) and end (19-25 April) of the season when prices for a pass drop around 10-15% depending on the week.
