Tickets for events at the 2018 Winter Olympics at PyeongChang in South Korea have gone on sale.
The Olympic Winter Games in South Korea next year is going to be the biggest ever, with 102 events across 15 different winter sports and more athletes competing for Team GB than ever before. The 23rd Winter Olympic Games run from 9th to 25th February, 2017.
For previous Winter Olympics a number of tour operators have offered packages from the UK but for Brits the only place for fans to buy official Team GB tickets this time is via Team GB Live’s website as Team GB Live is the official Team GB ticket and travel package provider for the Games.
“As part of the exciting new initiative to put the fans of Team GB at the heart of the Olympic experience, they will be provided with a range of ways to purchase ticket and travel packages to the event along with new and innovative ways to engage with and support Team GB athletes, all under the Team GB Live brand,” a statement issued by TeamGB reads.
The new ticket sales initiative is being delivered through a partnership between the British Olympic Association and leading travel and ticketing company Sports Travel and Hospitality Group (STH).
“It always makes it that much more real when tickets for showpiece events like PyeongChang 2018 go on sale. The athletes have said time and again the difference the fans make to their performance and it’s another fantastic opportunity to be part of the action in South Korea,” said Bill Sweeney, CEO of the British Olympic Association

A number of ski travel companies including Ski Safari offer ski holidays to South Korean Olympic destination resorts but have said they can’t offer holidays during the Olympic period.
