More Zipwires Coming to Val Thorens

Val Thorens gained widespread publicity when it unveiled Europe’s highest zipwire a few years ago in 2014.

Now the resort has announced a series of zipwires are to be installed ready for next winter which will allow visitors to race through the heart of the resort itself – just suspended above the pistes.

The 1,600 metre-long flight, divided in to three sections, will carry zipliners 65 metres above the ski slopes, starting from the top of La Moutière chair lift and landing at the heart of Val Thorens at Place Caron.

The new zip line is to be open daily, accessible to skiers and pedestrians who’ll achieve an average descent speed of 75km an hour.
