Swap white-water rafting for a different kind of white-water fun – hydrospeeding. These thick-foam boards are specially shaped to fit around the top part of the body, like a white-water sledge, and are a great way to get as close to the river’s rapids as possible. Swimmers navigate the rapids wearing a full-body neoprene wetsuit with helmet and protective pads, plus flippers for propulsion, and are given guidance on how to steer and stop.
Swimmers will follow their guide down the river and before long, they will be rolling, spinning and surfing through currents, and dodging and diving round obstacles. Minimum age is 14 years. A one-hour session costs from €54 pp / £46 pp.
