Two ski holiday companies which have both offered short break ski holidays for over 30 years are now owned by one operator.

Flexiski, the tailor-made short ski break experts, most recently part of the Hotelplan UK travel group, is now a sister brand of SkiWeekends, both operated by parent company Ski Elements Ltd.

“We are thrilled to add flexiski alongside our SkiWeekends programme for this winter and delighted to have recruited staff with previous flexiski experience to our team, helping us ensure we continue to deliver the same experience that both flexiski and SkiWeekends customers are used to,” said Dan Fox, Managing Director of Ski Elements Ltd.

Although both short ski breaks specialists the two have different core markets. While flexiski focuses on 4- and 5-star hotels and premium chalets, combining superior accommodation with a bespoke service across the Alps, SkiWeekends focuses on high value short stays in hotels from 2- to 5-star and operates chalets in the French resorts of Morzine, Avoriaz and Courchevel.

Mr Fox (pictured below) said that both companies had had to cut back their holiday selection due to the pandemic but will both be rebuilding for the 22-23 season after more limited options this winter.

“By acquiring flexiski at such a late stage in 2021 we will be focusing on delivering a smaller, but great quality product for this coming winter and looking for strong regrowth in the future, with addition of a wider variety of mountain breaks,” he said.
