Les 2 Alpes will attempt to break the torch-lit ski descent world record on the 13th of January next week in order to celebrate the opening of its incredible new blue slope opening !

After two years of work, the new blue slope « Jandri 1 » is open and allows skiing down to the resort from 3600m to 1600m in one wonderful, continual descent of 2,000 vertical metres over 10Km in length.
The resort aims to gather 3000 skiers on Wednesday 13 January 2016 to ski the new blue slope from the Glacier (3200m) to the village (1600m) carrying torches.
The current world record was set in 2006 in Schwarzsee, Switzerland, with 2854 skiers.

Anyone in resort can participate in the challenge and enjoy a ski descent in the moonlight and the run will be supervised by ski instructors and the ski patrol.

To take part you should meet at 3pm at the bottom of the Jandri express (the gondola lift in the centre). Participation is free of charge (free ski pass from 3pm) and registration will be online (www.les2alpes.com).
