The sunshine is out again in much of Austria after a snowy few days.
The biggest snowfalls were up on the country’s glaciers where areas like the Dachstein and Pitztal reported 20cm of fresh snow.
Perfect conditions 🙂 #sanktjohann #snowspacesalzburg #alpendorf #bloghuette #salzburgersportwelt

Temperatures at resort level have risen to around freezing so snow depths are slowly diminishing at village level but because there was so much snow in January, it’s still looking good at most for the rest of the season, even assuming there’s no fresh snow.
On-mountain snow depths remain very good, with the Kaunertal glacier having nearly 6m of snow and most areas at least 2-3m. The Arlberg region reports 4.4m.
