Thomson Ski (thomsonski.co.uk) have launched their new winter 2013/14 programme with 63 new properties and 13 new flights routes.
The company is also offering up to €100 hotel credit in selected hotels to spend in the hotel bar or restaurant and reduced price first-time ski or snowboard packages.
Norway is new to the programme this winter season with the company offering three resorts: Geilo, Hemsedal and smaller Beitostølen.
“Norway is excellent for first-time and intermediate skiers and snowboarders, with resorts like Geilo and Hemsedal having some great runs for the more advanced skier too. You can expect quiet slopes, friendly people, great food and a host of other activities including dog sledding in the wilderness to dinner in a tepee,” said a company statement.
With the continuing rise of regional airports, the days of travelling hundreds of miles to the nearest major airport are long gone and Thomson is adding 13 new flight routes from regional airports to the European ski slopes. Those new routes include departures from East Midlands, Liverpool, Southend, Southampton, Glasgow and even the Isle of Man to Geneva, amongst others to make the journey to the ski resorts more convenient.
Thomson continues to also focus a range of Platinum holidays to selected accommodation in picturesque locations deemed to offer a high standard of service, excellent facilities and fine food.
Examples are the luxurious Hotel Falkensteiner in Schladming in Austria, decorated throughout in a modern yet authentically rustic Austrian style with an ‘Acquapura’ spa area and high quality cuisine with inspiration for the dishes taken from the Mediterranean; or the four-star Sport Hotel Gran Baita in Selva Val Gardena in Italy, offering mouth-watering Italian cuisine in a traditional alpine atmosphere amongst elegant surroundings. Complimentary access to airport lounges in the UK as well as extra luggage allowance on Thomson Airways is also included.
