The French ski village of Samoens has announced it be staging a four-day ‘Cheese Party’ this January.
The traditional resort, part of the huge Grand Massif ski region which has 265km of slopes, has its own local cheese producers, but says, for the cheese party, it’s going global.
“This year, we’re taking Savoyard cheese on a culinary journey around the world, with recipes that are as delicious as they are unexpected. At the Cheese Party, there’s no such thing as too much cheese. On the menu: seriously indulgent dishes, a lively atmosphere, a large bar and, of course, lots and lots of cheese!” a spokesperson for the village in the Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc region commented.
The Cheese party is due to get started on Thursday 14th January and continue daily through to the following Sunday 17th January, 2027at Place du Gros Tilleul in Samoëns.
The organisers say that cheese and street food fans will find food trucks and culinary creations based on Savoie cheeses, local producers, concerts and an après-ski atmosphere at this new wintertime get-together.
“No excuses and no diet will stand in the way: we’ll see you at the Cheese Party!” the spokesperson commanded.
