New Half-Term Coach Service to Les 2 Alpes

Snow Express, the UK to French Alps direct bus service, has launched a brand new half-term route to Les 2 Alpes for the February half-term week.

Departing London on Friday 10 February 2017 (5.30pm) and leaving the resort on Saturday 18 February 2017 (6.15pm), the return trip costs £199pp.

At the time of writing, for arrival and departure on the same dates, one well-known low-cost airline was charging well in excess of £1,500 for the lowest-cost fares for a family with two adults and two children (including hold luggage), with times that would make it extremely difficult and expensive to get to the resort on arrival. Most of the fares with times that work well are in excess of £2,000 for a family of four, with the prime time fare coming in at over £3,340. That doesn’t include the transfer costs from airport to resort.

But it’s not just about the cost, according to the company’s founder.

“Since starting Snow Express in the winter of 2009/10 we have carried over 14,000 passengers from the UK to the Alps, and increasingly we are finding a huge variety of people of all ages using the service for convenience, rather than just the cost saving,” said Snow Express founder, Dave Manley. “We are also now carrying more families than before and our passenger age range goes right up to 85 years old.”

Snow Express operates to 40 ski resorts in the French Alps, with departures every Friday evening from London or Folkestone between December and April, returning every Saturday evening from resort. Fares start from £99pp return; there are no excess baggage charges for luggage or winter sports equipment, and travel is direct to the resort itself. snowexpress.co.uk
