Mountain yoga for has become ever more popular in recent years, but few ski areas actually offer yoga sessions whilst skiing.

This winter though ski and yoga guides at Obertauern in Austria’s Salzburgerland will offer yoga sessions between ski runs focussed on the resort’s ‘super seven’ – the seven highest lift-accessed points in Obertauern’s ski area.

Seven ‘power places’ have been identified where participants can practice yoga on snow surrounded by a wonderful winter wonderland and breath-taking views over the surrounding snow-covered mountains.

After reaching the power place, participants unclip their skis/snowboards and practice about 2-3 yoga asanas on snow before skiing off to the next stop.

Deep-breathing exercises, meditation and warming tea breaks complete this unique offer which is part of a wider #takemebackonskis initiative by the resort.
