Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc has kicked off its 2017-18 winter season during which it expects to receive nearly a quarter-of-a-million Brits flying in from 8 airports in the UK with British Airways and Fly Be.
The airport offers usually the easiest transfers to France’s most popular ski resorts: Paradiski, 3 Vallées, Tignes, Val d’Isère and others and thanks to its relatively small size passengers can normally get in and out quickly.
Today, 23rd December, passengers on TUI’s new flights for this season will be welcome by the dance band from La Folie Douce Méribel. The gig will take place at the front of the airport, and Méribel tourism will be present with stands of local products to taste. Tired travellers will also be able to enjoy free massages before getting into their bus to reach the resorts.
Similar fun events will take place during half term and in April there a ‘Smiling Day’ is planned when all the airport staff will welcome passengers with beverages and sweets.
