A very, very snowy week in Mammoth, in fact the snowiest by far this season.
The resort was closed on Sunday due to the avalanche danger after a major avalanche on Saturday – up to 2.1m (seven feet) of new snow has fallen in 72 hours – not far off the amount that had fallen over the previous four months.
So, once conditions calm down (and the forecast now is for sunshine all week), a long spring ski season lies ahead it seems, the base now past the 3m mark.
It was THAT good today. #tastypow GoPro Oakley video 02.27.18
