After a tumultuous few weeks in the Alps, our La Plagne Snow Report and Forecast 12 January 2018 is pleased to report that snow conditions in the Paradiski area are the best they have been in years.

In the wake of Storm Eleanor, La Plagne has had huge snowfall to deal with. Weather remained varied, with the snow refusing to cease – over 50cm fell on January 9th. However, conditions have brightened up in recent days. With almost a metre of fresh snow and the avalanche risk down to 3/5, it seems La Plagne is in for a fantastic week of skiing. Snow depths are 320cm on the upper slopes and 175cm on the lower – an incredible base considering it is still mid-January.

With sunshine and clear skies forecast all the way through until Monday, skiers in La Plagne will really be able to make the most of these amazing conditions. However, as is the common story this season, on Tuesday the heavy snow will return. Over a metre is forecast from Tuesday morning until Wednesday night, with the potential for more to fall in the days afterwards. On Tuesday evening, temperatures will drop to -22 (with wind chill) so be sure to stay warm out there!
