A fun, energetic and reliable ski across the mountain, the Volkl 90Eight W was one of our absolute favourite skis to test this week.

This ski is super versatile and performs well across all terrains. It really is a brilliant all mountain option for those who want to make the most out of every day on the slopes. This ski will be a great choice for an advanced skier looking for a ski that will keep you feeling confident and comfortable no matter the conditions.

The Volkl 90Eight W is a ski that is designed to keep you having as much fun as possible across all areas of the mountain. Thanks to the tip and tail rocker, it floats very well in the powder but also loves flying down the piste at high speed. The 98mm waist is a joy both on and off the piste, making life very easy for an advanced skier, while being just wide enough to have a good buoyancy on powder.

The addition of a 3Dimensional Fibreglass laminate gives the 90Eight a good boost of power when needed, allowing it to easily tackle crud and rough snow.

It is light and nippy under foot, which makes it really easy to turn and manoeuvre, especially when shorter turns are needed. This also keeps it fun and energetic over bumps. We found that on moguls, it had a quick, responsive nature that really allowed us to enjoy ourselves knowing we were totally in control.

Volkl 90Eight W 2018 Ski Review

If you are after a great, consistent, female-focused ski to do everything this season, the Volkl 90Eight W would be a very good choice. It is one for advanced skiers who really thrive on the piste, but want a ski that is versatile enough to give them a really impressive ride when they fancy hopping off the beaten track. Alternatively, it is also a great choice for those who want to progress their skiing or develop their technique off piste. We loved this ski and we are sure we will be seeing a lot of it on the mountain this year!
