Ortovox Ascent Avabag is a technological ultra-light avalanche airbag backpack that has been adapted in every aspect to our AVABAG system, making even the longest and most demanding ski tours possible. In order to achieve the low total weight of 1,780g (incl. system and cartridge), we’ve used extremely light yet abrasion-resistant materials such as Nylon 100D Robic Ripstop, and we’ve also forgone the use of all non-essential components. However, we haven’t forgotten about high wear comfort. The foamed 3D back system distributes the weight evenly between the hip fins and the padded shoulder straps. The circular frontal zipper provides quick access to equipment, the diagonal ski attachment, ice axe holder and rope fastener, which are all very easy to use.
