Giro is a big supporter of the climate-change fighting advocacy group Protect Our Winters (POW) which started in the US but is now opening branches around the world. So it only seems bright that they have branded their latest and (arguably) greatest new goggles with a POW colour scheme and logo.
Besides the stylish design though, the coolest thing about the Contact for the wearer though is that the lens can be instantly interchanged to suit weather conditions.
So, no longer any need to put up with the wrong goggles for the conditions or carrying a spare pair, Giro’s ‘Snapshot Magnetic Lens Interchange System’ actually works faster than you can say the words – one lens comes off, a new one clicks on, connected by magnetism and held in place with a shutter-button release-and-locking mechanism.
Self-locating magnets guide and hold the lens – which are by the way the highest quality Zeiss Optics- securely into place in this sleek, frameless design. There is also Giro’s EVAKTM Vent Technology to help control any moisture build up within the goggles.
The Contact offers comes with two premium VIVID lens with Optics by ZEISS supplied, one a sun/all-conditions lens the other infrared for stormy/flat-light conditions.
