Our Faction Dictator 2.0x 2019 Ski Review comes from the SIGB Ski Test in Galtür, Austria.

Now this is a ski you cannot miss. Not just because of its awesome bright topsheet, but because it’s performance is something that really needs to be experienced to be believed.

With the Faction Dictator 2.0x you really need to put in some power and work the ski, but what you get in return is a really fantastic ride. Incredibly powerful with boundless energy, this is a ski that likes to charge hard and at high speeds. A 95mm waist gives great versatility, allowing you the freedom to explore the whole mountain.

Faction define the Dictator 2.0x 2019 as a ‘sidecountry GS race ski’ so it’s not surprising that it also performs really nicely on piste, especially at higher speeds. Such a ski needs to have a lot of strength and stability to keep you feeling confident, so Faction have given the Dictator 2.0x two layers of Titanal surrounding a Fusion Light Core, keeping it smooth and stable over even the choppiest of terrain.

You might expect a ski with all this power to be slightly heavy, however the Faction Dictator 2.0x retains an impressive light weight, which allows it a quick, responsive, lively nature through shorter turns.

If you’re a timid, less confident skier who prefers to stick to the pistes, the Faction Dictator 2.0x 2019 isn’t for you. However, it’s a fantastic ski for a hard charging upper intermediate to expert skier, looking for a powerful ski that you can have a lot of fun with off piste, while also not compromising on piste performance.
