Free Lift Pass and Rentals for Children Aged Under 12 at Austrian Resort

Crystal ski holidays have announced a special deal on family ski holidays to the small Austrian ski resort of Rauris next winter.

The company say they have exclusivly arranged free lift passes and free equipment rentals for children aged under 12.  They also note that early bookers many also be able to get free flights and accommodation for their children aged under 12, subject to availability.

Rauris, located between the Gastein Valley and Zell am See in Salzburgerland, has 32km of normally uncrowded pistes, many of them long gentle blues, and is promoted as a great option for first-time skiers, families or those just looking to avoid busier resorts.

Originally a goldminers’ village, it sits alongside some of Austria’s highest mountains and has now been transformed into a picturesque resort, perfectly situated to take advantage of the surrounding Hohe Tauern National Park.

For the youngest members of the family, the ski school runs the Adventure Kids Club offering childcare for children from two years and can be booked locally for single hours, half days or full days.

Once the kids get past the beginner stage and are looking for a challenge they can head to the Fun Slope – a 700m long adventure with banked turns, waves, kickers and a ‘snail’.

Alternatively, the Nugget Park offers rookies a chance to get their first taste of air. Aside from the usual boxes and rails, younger crowds can look forward to the ‘rainbow’, a semi-circular box to ride over. And if they have the need for speed, the race hill – with an automated time-keeping system.
