With the support of sponsor Level Gloves, Team Evolution (teamevolution.eu) is running summer camps in order to increase participation and develop the sport of alpine skiing around the regions of Hemel Hempstead and Greater Manchester.
Using the UK’s two newest Indoor Snow Slopes, Team Evolution coaches, support staff and sponsors are running open training camps for skiers looking to progress further within the sport.
These camps are aimed at a wide variety of ages and abilities and open to all skiers, providing trainees with the opportunity to ski alongside some of the UK’s best athletes and coaches.
The camps offer a range of multi sports learning opportunities for would be ski racers, with everything from technical training and fitness sessions to demo equipment tests and freestyle workshops build into the daily programme.
The idea is to offer a fresh and fun approach to summer training, providing unique opportunities and new challenges for participants.
The camps take place from 15th – 18th July and 5th – 7th August at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead, north of London and from 27th – 30th August 2013, Chill Factore, Manchester
Each camp is slightly different and presents new opportunities for those attending, including the involvement of different sponsors, guest appearances and press.
2013 summer camps will feature, amongst others, appearances by Ed Drake 2010 British Winter Olympian, and Ambassador for The Snow Centre, Hemel and members of the 2013/14 British Junior Team
“With the 2014 Winter Olympics just around the corner this is an exciting opportunity to view the work being done in the alpine sector and to get involved with the British athletes and coaches,” said Paul Telling, Team Evolution’s Programme Director.
