Engelberg’s base depth may have dropped back below 7 metres up on the Titlis glacier (the snow’s now ‘just’ 6.9 metres deep – 23 feet) but conditions have been great with sunny days most of the past week.
Since last Monday the skiing has been restricted to upper runs, but the ski season here still has 4 weeks to run – through to the end of May.
And there’s now snow forecast – as much as 25cm of snow is expected on the last day of April and the first day of may so that base depth may pop back over 7 metres again!
